I find they fade a bit, but they're not nearly as fugitive as the HP
colour inks. This one has slightly cheaper cartridges than my big ol'
WF-7520, and I've never really found the cost of printing to be excessive.

Linux drivers aren't bad for these. There's the basic open-source
driver, then the slightly better-functioning one from
http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/search/01/search/?OSC=LX

The scanner's likely quite decent, but seemingly has a different feature
set from the one on my WF-7520. Mine uses the SANE epson2 driver.

This would be a *lot* less hassle than the scanner on the WF-7520. These
dedicated document scanners are rather good.
