Thanks for those links.  Interesting.

Maybe I'm missing something.

I don't see anything in those articles about Microsoft contributing
code to WINE projects.

What I do see is that Microsoft has made a submission to the US Supreme
Court, arguing against Oracle's lower court win against Google.  That
ruling decided that APIs were subject to copyright (disaster!).

Microsoft argues: WINE and WSL show that free use of APIs can work as
a win-win.

This means that it will ill-become them to legally stomp on WINE.
That's a Good Thing.  But it isn't working to improve WINE.
