The Quest is a standalone device, not a peripheral. Its native OS is highly-mutated Android so in that sense it is already running under a Linux kernel and AOSP underpinnings. To my knowledge (tho I may be wrong) there are no third-party Linux distributions for it such as LineageOS. Wine is irrelevant because it's an ARM rather than x86 device.
