There are many instances of poorly shielded equipment picking up AM radio broadcasts, since all you need is a diode, inductor, capacitor and antenna to receive it (A.K.A crystal radio). Just wiring can create inductance and capacitance and a makeshift rectifier is pretty simple to inadvertently create as well.
