Interesting - - - you forgot to mention a huge negative on most tablets - - -
no real keyboard with the system. That to me is enough to preclude me
from even considering a tablet.
Have you ever seen an e-reader with a keyboard? Some tablets come with
a detachable keyboard and any that doesn't can use a Bluetooth keyboard.
