That left only 32% of / used.
Note /var/cache/apt/archives is only a cache. If the system wants any
of these, it should be able to find them in a repo.
More recent Debian seems to have made automatic cleanup the default.
Is this something older or more Ubuntu-like?
And really it makes little sense to keep a .deb you're only going to
install once!
