Have you considered running Windows in a VM under Linux and using the instance of Windows to run ViewNX? Having said that, I should try that myself as I already have two versions of Windows that I run via virtualbox. I should compare ViewNX against the Linux based programs I've been using to manipulate the raw images from my Nikon camera.
