Can't resist trying to pick your brains a little more instead of spending the next $x hours in trial and error.
This is an Excel spreadsheet created on Mac. I am opening it with Open Office Calc on a Fedora Linux box. I can "Save as..." and choose text, and there are myriad choices for "Character set." Which is my best bet? Thanks again. On 3/5/07, David Mintz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I wanted to avoid the extra step of exporting to text, as in fact I've done in the past. And I expect to have to repeat the procedure in the future. But.... maybe that's the way to go after all. Thanks for the suggestions!
