No, that's simply one way to measure. You could also go by our number of downloads (624,000 since May '06), or the size of our community (8,300 on the mailing list and avg. 175 on IRC) which is almost double that of Symfony's, and several times that of CodeIgniter's, or the fact that we consistently chart significantly higher than both on Technorati. That's about all the metrics I could come up with in a few minutes, but I'm sure there are others I'm overlooking.
