The whitepaper does name names, and makes a good "executive" case for PHP as __the__ enterprise language that runs the Internet. It was and still is the P in LAMP (and friendly with Perl and Python). LAMP is the predominant platform. Java and .Net are other platforms but don't have the same advantages in the web space. > * <http://short.ie/php-whitepaper>* > > -Anthony > -- > Anthony Wlodarski > www.thrillist.com <http://www.thrillist.com> > Web Applications Developer > 568 Broadway Ste. 605 > New York, NY, 10012 > (o) 646.786.1944 > > > ------------------------------ > *From: *Peter Sawczynec <[email protected]> > *Reply-To: *NYPHP Talk <[email protected]> > *Date: *Fri, 30 Jan 2009 15:53:50 -0800 > *To: *"Org, t...@nyphp." <[email protected]> > *Subject: *[nyphp-talk] Non-Profit and Major Corporate PHP Users List > > I am making a pitch on Mon Feb 2, 2009 to a non-profit to convert their > entire web site to LAMP. > > Can anyone tell me a couple of company names, non-profit or major corp., > who are PHP users right now. > > When I look up PHP usage on the Internet, the results and stats often > appear stale. > > Can anyone spare a few current co. names? > > Warmest regards, > > Peter Sawczynec > Technology Dir. > bl?studio > 941.893.0396 > [email protected] > www.blu-studio.com > > > > _______________________________________________ > New York PHP User Group Community Talk Mailing List > http://lists.nyphp.org/mailman/listinfo/talk > > http://www.nyphp.org/show_participation.php > > > _______________________________________________ > New York PHP User Group Community Talk Mailing List > http://lists.nyphp.org/mailman/listinfo/talk > > http://www.nyphp.org/show_participation.php > -- Greg Rundlett Web Developer - Initiative in Innovative Computing http://iic.harvard.edu camb 617-384-5872 nbpt 978-225-8302 m. 978-764-4424 -skype/aim/irc/twitter freephile http://profiles.aim.com/freephile
