I say go for it - just one thing - there are quite a few active lists on Drupal.org ... and I can't say I've seen anything go unanswered. But it might be a good idea for us here - to be able to ask more detailed questions. (maybe put a link at the bottom to Drupal.org's page for IRC (where many many many many questions get answered) )
