Once upon a time, I had students writing a Name class do all sorts of funky validation and auto-correction, even checking for "Mc", "Mac", "De", and "de" specifically. It's an awful chore, and it seemed like every semester someone thought of a valid name that my hardcore regex missed. Now I use different examples altogether. :) -c
