CTRL-SHFT-B for rewind (back) and CTRL-SHFT-F (for forward. Windows Media
player is really confusing for playing back recordings though.
I prefer the VLC Media Player; it has many more keystrokes and handles every
format you can imagine. It's open-source, and I typically keep it updated
through Ninite.

In VLC you can jump to a specific time, jump back and forwards by a variety
of increments and see where you are in a file by time.

VLC also handles video (so you can share it with your family even if you
can't see it) and Apple formats that Windows Media player needs special
codecs to deal with.

Hi all, I record a lot of college lectures on my dictaphone and then
transfer them to my PC. However when I play them on my PC using windows
media player I cant work out how to rewind, fast forward or pause. Can
