Hi Margaret, In the message filter dialog, in order to make a folder open up, so that you can have the message forwarded to a sub-folder of that folder, you must press Alt-DownArrow. At this point, you will hear "pull down." If you then press RightArrow, you can navigate the sub-folders of the selected folder and pick the one you want. This is the only trick you will need, since everything else you said shows you know what you're doing. Smile
Hth, Rod -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Margaret Thomas via Talk Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2015 1:29 PM To: WE Subject: Thunderbird Message Filters with WE 9 Good Afternoon, I'm running Thunderbird 31.4.0 and had message filters, i.e., message rules, set up to move mail with the old list name to a WE folder. I was no longer able to create a new filter for the new list name running a licensed copy of Window-Eyes 8.4 that I paid the full price for and installed WE 9 and am still unable to create one with the new WE or using the competition's screen reader. I believe TB Enhanced is currently running. My efforts seem to have resulted in accidentally changing another rule to have mail from another list landing in my in-box. I've been trying to use to or cc for the criteria. I think the problem is being able to choose the account and the Window-Eyes folder and I keep getting the word alert without indication of what Thunderbird doesn't like, but, previous experience with pesky Thunderbird design leads me to believe that a folder to move the mail to has not been selected. I deleted the old message rule. I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Probably my WE knowledge is just not up to the task. If message rules can be created with the new WE, could someone please give me specific instructions? I'm quite frustrated and any help would be greatly appreciated.
