Hi Rick,

Noticing your posts to the AI Squared talk list, it occurs to me that you
really would benefit from trying out NVDA.
It's not hard to learn, and you'd be surprised how good it is.
I only suggest this as an alternative to reverting back to WE 8.4.
I do use WE 9.0 but only in a virtual machine and prefer to use 8.4 on my
desktop.
I think 9.0 is an attempt to address many problems in the modern world, but
I don't think it is flexible enough yet.
Here's a link to NVDA in my DropBox, if you need it:

Subject: IE Just Died

OK, IE 11 just died with no error message. WE was dead, but after a while
would seem to jump around and sometimes read something but was pretty much
dead. This was in my home page where there is nothing that could cause this.
Just the Google Accessible Search Page.

I fired up another reader and was able to close the browser and am typing
this using that reader will now try to start WE again.

WE is speaking again as I type this although a little lag but almost
unnoticible.

Since the page I was on had no flash nor anything else fancy I have to
assume it was a WE problem but, again, no way to know for sure.

Looking at the AddIns both the Outlook enhance and the other helper scripts,
addins, are checked.

I forgot to check settings while we was dead - just didn't want to ReBoot
and exited IE before I thought of checking settings.

WE is reading fine in Outlook but there is a little lag typing.

This is very similar to what I experienced when WE Locked up in Visual
Studio and the resolution was the same.

Fire up another screen reader, exit the application and WE comes back.

To try and get rid of the typing lag, getting a little worse as I continue
this, I will ReBoot to get a fresh start and hope things get a little more
stable the rest of the day - WE is getting quite laggy even jut reading
characters with the arrow keys, then, now it has picked up speed again,
sigh, no way of knowing what is happening.

Could be some setting in Outlook, the OS, WE or a bug in WE - just no way of
knowing.
