Hi Dave,
You can add new web pages to the Bookmarks toolbar in Firefox using standard
keyboard techniques. Press Control-D after opening the page you wish to add to
the Bookmarks toolbar. This opens the Edit/Add Bookmark pop-up dialog in
Firefox. Next, edit the Bookmarks name in the provided edit box if needed.
Press Tab and you should land in the Folders combo box. Use Up or Down Arrow to
select Bookmarks toolbar. Finally, press Enter or Tab to the Done button and
activate it. If you wish to access any of the bookmarks from the Bookmarks
toolbar, you can do so using the Bookmarks menu. For example, press Alt-B to
open the Bookmarks menu, Down Arrow to the Bookmarks toolbar pull down and
press Enter. You can use Up/Down Arrows or first letter navigation to make your
selection from the pull down menu. Please note that these techniques utilize
the keyboard accessible Add Bookmark dialog (Control-D) and traditional menu
bar in Firefox to manage and interact with the same bookmarks that a
re displayed in the Bookmarks toolbar. I am not aware of any way to interact
directly with the Bookmarks toolbar using the Mouse hot keys in Window-Eyes.
With that being said, I don't see any real advantage or time savings in using
the mouse driven approach but maybe you have other ideas about this. Regarding
bookmarklet's, I have two of these installed in Firefox, both are web
accessibility tools. For me, each of these bookmarklets have corresponding pull
down menus under the Tools menu (Alt-T) in Firefox. The bookmarklet's pull down
menu under Tools, provides a completely accessible way to interact with the
bookmarklet's features and functions. I don't know if all bookmarklet's do
this but apparently the ones that are well designed do. I hope you find this
information helpful.
Kind Regards,
Marc

Subject: Firefox toolbars and bookmarklet's

Hi,

How would I drag something to the bookmarks toolbar in Firefox? Also,
can I use bookmarklet's with window eyes? They seem to be rather
popular. I feel that we are at a disadvantage by not being able to
access toolbars. Often times, now, when I try to route the pointerto a
Firefox window, I received the message "unable to route pointer" moving
by clip yields only silence.

any thoughts?

thanks, dave
