Hello Jim,

In Thunderbird, open the Options dialog accessible from the Tools menu. 
In the list of categories, select Advanced. Tab once to a tab control of 
advanced categories, and Right Arrow until you reach Email Scams. You 
can then Tab through the alert options and disable those you don't want 
Thunderbird to display. Activate the OK button when you are finished.
