Hi. Another thing to try is to activate the backup synthesizer. You can do this without speech with the following key strokes.
1. ctrl-backslash to go to the WE control panel.
2. alt-h for the help menu.
3. s for speech and braille recovery
4. a for activate backup synthesizer.
I can't try this with a bluetooth dongle because I don't have one. The only possible problem could be that Windows forces the bluetooth dongle to be the default sound card. If this happens the only way to use this thing is to pair it with headphones or a speaker. Good luck.

Hi Billy,

Did you ever have a pair of headphones or speakers paired with it?
If so, you would be able to hear Window-Eyes through those while you go into
the Playback Audio Devices menu and make your default sound card the one
you're used to rather than the Bluetooth.

Rod

Subject: bluetooth issue.

hi guys, I have a bluetooth usb dongle, but when i plug it into a port. My
speech disappears entirely.
As soon as I remove the dongle, the speech comes back.
At the time I have no bluetooth devices running, but as soon as you connect
the dongle, speech goes.
Please advise, Billy
