Hi David:

The  term Autosizing refers to making a column wid enought to fit all the data.

For example if you had a column consisting of the following data:

Row 1 January
Row 2 February
Row 3 March
Row 4 April
The last part of the first and second entries will be cut off or
overlap into the next cell unless you widden the column, but rather
than widden the column too much or not enough, you use this Autofit
option to widden it just enough that all four of the entries will fit
into their cells.
Go into Excel, if you have it, try the above example and you will see
what I mean.  Then autofit the data as was shown in a previous message
and you will see what I mean.
