Indeed, the Alt+Shift+m hot key is in the hot key list. However, it is my understanding that it is no longer active in the new browse mode.

Larry, Could you mean 'CTRL-SHIFT-M'? I got nothing when I tried what
you did.

OK, I looked at my hot keys, and found that these keys are defined as indicated in my previous post, so should be operable. What gives?

I have also intended to mention for quite some time, that the "alt-shift-m" has always given me the "not a valid key press" message.

Sure hope these problems can be fixed, because I can't imagine why this should be happening.

Thanks again,

Larry

Listers,

I can't figure this one out, but there must be an easy answer or solution.

While reading a Bookshare book using IE, I found that I was unable to set or go to any place markers by pressing either the "k" key, or, if I am correct, the "alt-shift-k key. If I am reading things correctly in the apps menu, all appropriate scripts seem to be running, so I don't think I should be having this problem.

I am coming at this without much knowledge as to how these scripts interact with IE, so maybe someone could give me some pointers as to what I might do to correct this situation. I had no problem using these functions on my wife's Windows 7 laptop, but can't seem to get these functions to work on my new Dell Windows 8.1 machine.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated,

Larry
