It happened on my laptop running window eyes 8.4 also. It happened when I bought AVG and installed it. But it also happened on the tower when I installed AVG with 8.4 and then with 9 and 9.1 or whatever the latest one is. Pam.

Hi Brenda:
Right now, I am using the free version of AVG and I am using the free
version of Window-eyes which is downloadable with Office 2015.

What I mean by AVG eating Window-eyes is that when I start my
Window-eyes 7 machine, Window-eyes gives me an error saying that a
particular executable file is missing so that Window-eyes can't run
correctly.
This happened a few weeks when I was running a public beta on
Window-eyes, and what I was able to learn was that AVG say the missing
file as a virus and quaranteened it. Since the executable in question
was necessary for running scripts, I turned the scripts of in the
script manager, and I am now able to use Window-eyes normally but
without running any scripts.
This only started in Window-eyes 9. If you are running an earlier
version of Window-eyes, you most likely would not experience the
problem.

Hey Kevin
I also use AVG but don't have any known problems. Not sure what you
mean about AVG eating Window Eyes. Can you explain what happens? Are
you using the free AVG or the paid one?

My AVG is expiring soon and I will need to purchase another update so
I'm thinking maybe to change security programs.

Any input would be appreciated.

Hi:
OK, I have had enough.
AVG has started eating my Window-eyes again and I am going to get rid
of AVG once and for all and replace it by Microsoft Security
Essentials.
My question is, can I delete AVG from the Programs and Features
utility in the control panel of my Window-eyes 7 computer, or is their
more to it?
