Hmmm, this sounds similar to some of the annoyances I've experienced on my Dell
desktop running Win7, WE 9.1, and IE11:1. On the Desktop most icons launch when
I'm on the icon and hit the Enter key. However, I can activate something like
Super Antispyware (arriving there by typing the letter S or by tabbing to it
and nothing happens. Now it doesn't say anything about "detail" or what mode
it's in; I will hear the word "selected". I'll hit the Enter key again, or get
the mouse to it and hit the left mouse button (who can remember all of these
scenarios in my 7th decade anyway?). Suffice it to say the app takes some care
to finally launch.2. The first time I launch IE11 on any given day either by
using my hot key "CTRL ALT I" assigned in the icon, or by hitting the Enter key
nothing seems to happen. Now I have the Windows app and IE enhanced app active
and some interchange with the internet for the day may be taking place. Who
knows? I know that there are user-controlled happenings mentioned in the Help
files for these apps but haven't looked at them. I can stand only so much new
stuff about app controls. IE11 eventually struggles up to the preset home page
(the 1980s About:blank "site') I may have to use CTRL L to start entering
where I wish to go. As the day progresses with numerous IE11 session closures,
subsequent relaunches of IE11 start up sans any delays.3. I use mail.yahoo.com
as my webmail client. One of these years I'll spend time learning the
gazillion nuances of Outlook but for quickie mail sends and receives the
webmail has worked fairly well, if the web lackeys would leave well enough
alone.
If I go to a mail folder, landing on it's link courtesy of the WE Find command,
I will hear that it is selected. I hit the Enter key. This time I hear that
it is (really) selected, in which case i hit Enter again and, by golly, I'm
there looking at messages therein.

Hello,
Window-eyes thinks your insert key is down.
Try tapping your insert keys and try again.
You can also remove the lvnav app if desired.

Subject: not in deetail mode
running WE 9.1 on a Win 8.1 64 bit system.
Over the past few days when I am on the desktop screen and am on a icon
and press enter WE says not in detail mode and nothing happens as far as
the icon opening. A reboot resolves the problem but it will happen
again at some random interval. Is there a way to resolve this issue?
