Chip Orange is the author of an app called Hotwind which allows you to assign hotkeys to open windows. Also, under Windows 7 (and beyond, I assume), the WindowsKey combined with the numbers on the Qwerty area of the keyboard will activate open windows, the numbers running in the order they were first opened. This has been a problem since Windows-7. Alt-tabbing among windows becomes quite clumsy and it takes some trying to be in the window you want.
