I went to the url you provided, Larry. Too bad the widow Mitchell didn't go
in there and have a look see--sounds like she could have used the money. The
only instances of seemingly repetitive text might be alt text for images or,
like on some wikipedia articles, captions to photos that somehow end up
included in the article as well as accompanying the photo. I'd have to say
it's poor presentation, not a screen reader issue.

This was with WE nine point one, IE eleven, and Windows seven.

Subject: Repetitive lines on Web pages drive me nuts!, how bout you?

Listers,

I have been intending to post this question for a very long time, but
just never managed to do it. Maybe having a rather out of date system
With WE 7.2, and somewhat bound to IE 6, if I remember precisely, I
thought this might have been attributed to some new quirk, or an
Inadequate aspect of the old browser, but I ran into this issue this
morning on the following URL.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3069645/Jimi-Hendrix-s-drum-kit-memo
rabilia-sold-pittance-repossessed-lock-wife-didn-t-pay-fees.html

The issue is constantly repetitive lines throughout the reading of the
page. I also gave some consideration to the idea that WE was at fault
here, but after taking a look around, it turns out not to be so.

Therefore, I guess my question is as follows. Have any of you found a
way to filter out these instances of repetitiveness, or do you, like me,
just grit your teeth and suffer through them?

These kinds of pages aren't the kind I find myself visiting all that
often, but some times a story catches my ear, and like everyone else on
the Web, one link can so easily lead to another - you get the picture.
But this is not all that unusual in my experience. And it doesn't matter
all that much what news service you might look at, this issue pops up
periodically.

If anyone could shed some light, or give me some kind of work-around for
this issue, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Larry
