If it's the same as Windows 7 just go to WLM in the start menu, hit the Applications key, or Shift-F10, to open the context menu. Arrow down to Send to and right arrow to open it. Then arrow down. There should be "Desktop (create shortcut)" or something similar. I say something similar because changing names seems to be half of what constitutes a new version of Windows. (grin)
