Hi Larry, Actually, it's Rod, like a fishing rod. Smile You know, I just got the same message as you did when I tried it. I think this means it's not the recommended way of doing it as far as Windows is concerned. To be honest, I don't use this method of copying and icon to the desktop if I'm working with the Favorites menu. What I would do is choose the Copy option from the context menu rather than Send to, and then paste it onto the desktop. If I try this, it works every time.

On the whole though, I think I like your suggestions for creating favorites shortcuts rather than using the send too option in IE's favorites menu. But still, this function shouldn't return a response like that one. I'm still somewhat baffled. Anyway, I really appreciate your help.
