Hi Ricky,

What is it that you are looking for in a laptop which makes it special? For
instance, many laptops today come with a full keyboard (I mean a number pad
and modifying keys on both sides of the spacebar), so that typing on one is
almost exactly like using a desktop keyboard.

My Dell Inspiron only has its "six pack" keys in odd places, and no
applications key, but other than that it's a nice big easy to use keyboard.
It also has volume and mute keys, so you don't have to operate those via
software. I'm sure a lot of laptops are like this today (except of course
the ultra light notebooks which weigh around 2 pounds; they'll still have
the hard to use keyboards).

Laptops have brightness controls so that you can get the battery savings of
a laptop without a screen by turning down the brightness; and of course you
can buy most laptops with an "extended" battery option, to give you more
than 10 hours of battery life.

Hth,

Chip

Subject: WINDOW-EYES LAPTOP?

Hi list

Is there any laptop still available customized specifically to work with
Window-Eyes only, let's call it a Window-Eyes laptop shall we? Only one
might be Laptalk though not sure if still around after nearly ten years.

Thanks.
