Hi Dave,

Sometimes IE will give you options, or provide information, in a very small
visual area near the top of the window which it calls the "notification bar"
(Outlook also uses one of these). It might ask you if you want to save your
password for the site you just logged into, or if you want to save or open a
file you just clicked on.

WE comes with an app named IE Enhance which among other things, tries to
read this to you automatically when a new message appears here (and also it
can place a chime like sound). I believe the message you heard is one which
happens which it looks like there was a message there, or there's a place
for a message, but the app can't find the message.

If you can reliably describe to AI support what you can do to make this
error message be spoken, they would probably be interested in hearing about
it, so they can prevent their app from having this problem.

Hth,

Chip

Subject: Message Meaning?

Hello,

I use I.E. 11, and when I download a file, I get a message stating
there was No Notification bar found. What does this message mean?

is this the Progress Bar?
