I do understand that sometimes a piece of software is written in such
a way that no screen reader can perform a particular task. This may
well be the case for the mouse and FireFox. I don't know.
Window-eyes asked for feedback. The larger feedback I want to give is
something Window-eyes already knows in some ways. Increasingly, blind
people are using a vfariety of tools to do a variety of things,
depending on which combination of tools and operating systems work
best in different situations.
If Windo-eyes wants to improve, it will need to do some thing
particularly well, compared with other screen readers.
When I first started using Windows it cost to buy a screen reader.
Now there are free alternatives. If Window-eyes is the best at doing
things "the best" is in comparison with new options for screen
readers and more than just Windows as an operating system choice.
Thank you Window-eyes staff for seeking input so you can do well in
this new environment, so different from the environment in which
Window-eyes was born. Thank you for serving me well and literally
making my work life possible. Please take any suggestion or criticism
in conjunction with my appreciation. The money I paid to buy
Window-eyes in 1994 made it possible for me to work well at a
fulltime job for many many years.
