Hi list:
Ever since I've been using Windows 8.1, I've noticed something I'm having a hard time getting rid of. About 30 seconds or so after I boot up in Win 8.1, WE will say something like "Store, frame, frame, . frame." The PC seems to be going to some kind of Windows Store page-WE can navigate a few things, but, invariably, trying to navigate around the page will cause WE to lock up. Also, if I just sit there and wait for the page to come up, WE will usually stop responding. I can press Windows-d several times in succession when I hear the first indications of this pop-up, and, WE will be back to normal. I have tried disabling app notifications, without any noticeable difference. I get the impression that there are some advertising preferences on the MicroSoft site I can change that might have an effect on this weird pop-up, but, when I look at the advertising preferences on the MicroSoft Web site, there seems no way to change the options there-no check boxes, etc. Anyone know how to get rid of this annoying pop-up? Certainly not a show-stopper, but, I have to be diligent whenever I boot up to make sure I can use WE without restarting afterword. Thanks for any help. _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
