Microsoft and properly accessible, have never came together. They are as
likely to do that, as to incorporate window-eyes in to the os.

Subject: Positive First Impressions of Windows 10
Hi all.
I installed the latest Windows 10 preview yesterday.
After being reminded by list members of the need to uninstall Window-Eyes,
and relying on Narrator, the install, in the form of an upgrade, went
smoothly. Narrator should be more helpful, but this is Microsoft afterall.
Window-Eyes version 9.1 installed successfully, but Windows would not
properly restart. A strange message came up when restarting after the
install of Window-Eyes version nine: "shut down blocked". This pc has one
of those legacy reset buttons, which actually does work.
So far: all peripherals ap;pear to be working as they should - including my
Braille Edge.
Browsing with Internet Explorer verwison 11 is faster and crashes have been
fewer than with Windows 8.1. Window-Eyes and Eloquence work fine. I keep
expecting Eloquence to fail with each operating system replacement, and I'll
keep using it until it does eventualy fail. Come on AI squared: let those
of us outside of the United States purchase new voices online!
I have some difficulty reading messages in Outlook as part of Office 2010.
Frequenlty - opened emssages say "loading" and that is as far as I get. Not
sure that Outlook Enhance is working properly.
Sometimes, Window-Eyes seems to loose focus with task switching. Not sure
of the pattern with respect to this.
Perhaps the final release of Windows 10 will have as a surprise a properly
accessible install. If not, Microsoft deserves to be criticised for failing
to properly progress this requirement. And of course: I'm picking that
Window-Eyes will be properly ready before luanch day.
Aughan.
