Richard,
I am running Windows 8.1, Outlook 2013 and a private beta version of
Window-Eyes. When I am not at the top of the message list and press Home, focus
moves to the first message and Window-Eyes reads the selected email's
information as expected. If I am at the bottom of the message list, pressing
Down Arrow doesn't cause any change in the program or move focus in the message
list. This would explain why you are not getting any speech output from
Window-Eyes when you do this. Regarding pressing Enter on a folder in your
folder tree, assuming you are pressing Enter on a folder that is not the
currently displayed folder, focus is consistently moving to the first message
in the message list for the folder I pressed Enter on and Window-Eyes is
reading it as expected. For example, if the Deleted Items folder is selected in
the folder tree and its contents are shown in the message list, when I press
Enter on the Inbox folder in the tree, Outlook displays the contents of the
Inbox in t
he message list, focus goes to the first message in the Inbox and Window-Eyes
reads the selected email's details. The only way I could duplicate the issue
you reported is if I already had the Inbox selected and tried to press Enter on
the Inbox folder again. In this specific case, focus stays in the tree and
doesn't go back to the message list. So, if this is what you are doing, just
press Tab to move from the Folder tree back to the message list and you should
find the messages in your inbox. If you haven't already done so, please check
to make sure you have the correct set files installed and associated with
Office 2013.
Regards,
Marc

When I arrow up and down in the inbox if I hit the home key I don't hear the
first message. I must arrow down and then arrow up. When I am at the last
message and I arrow down I don't hear the last message. When I tab I hear all
favorites which is part of the tree when I hear inbox and I hit enter I don't
hear list view. Inbox is maximized and I am using we9.1.0 and windows 7
enterprise.
