Subject: RE: Using F8 in Browse Mode

Hi, Matt. Here's how to copy and paste text using the f8 key method. Find the
beginning of the text you want to copy. Press f8. Using your arrow keys find
the end of the text and press f8 again. Then as explained in an earlier post,
a dialog will pop up with three choices. Pick the choice you want. The
choices are copy plain text, copy with formatting, reset selection or cancel.
You don't need to press any other keys. As the earlier post mentioned, the new
copy method is how sighted people copy and paste text. The readme clearly
mentions this in the section explaining the changes between Window-eyes 8.4 and
9.0. The readme file is a valuable resource which can help answer some of the
questions posted to this list. I used the copy and paste text method using the
f8 key and it works beautifully. And, oh yes, I am one of those who advocate
for those who would like to be able to use the traditional text selection
method in
addition to the f8 copy and paste method.

Speaking of referring to the readme, or the e-mail Doug Geoffray posted
explaining how to install Windows 10 using Window-eyes 9.2 if you have it
installed, keep it around and go over it because it also is a valuable piece of
information. I tried to e-mail Doug privately but I got the e-mail address
wrong, and of course it bounced, smile. .

Subject: Using F8 in Browse Mode

Hi, Folks. Have read the email on the F8 key, but can't seem to get it to
work. I started at the beginning of where I wanted to highlight text, pressed
control-shif-end, f8, followed by c, and got "unable to copy to clipboard".
What am I doing wrong? This is more confusing than the original of just
highlighting and hitting control-c. Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao
