Bud,

This is almost always malware infections. Sometimes, it's really necessary to
try several anti malware packages before you find one which recognizes your
particular infection and will fix it.

If you're convinced you are not infected, google on the topic of windows
running slow and start trying all the things they suggest (or take it to a
computer shop to get them to repair it; that's my suggestion).

Good luck,

Subject: crashing

Hi gang,

I know this has been brought up before but I thought maybe somebody
has discovered some clues and fixes. My computer is crashing more
and more these days. When it goes silent I can usually wait up to
two or three minutes and it will come back. During the silent time
I'm not able to bring up NVDA either so I would guess we has nothing
to do with it. It crashes much more in IE as it does in firefox. I
can't figure out what all this means but thought someone out there
might have a clue. Running windoweyes 9.2 and windows 7 64
bit. Thanks for any ideas. The computer is hardly usable these days.
