Jim Kitchen was one really great guy. Him and I went back as far as the days of DOS. (Before Windows) Jim was always willing to help others. When my son was in grade school, he was having trouble with spelling. He would come home with his list of words to learn in that week. To help me help my son, Jim wrote a program fore me that would permite me to type in the list of new words for that week. When my son used Jim's program, each new word would stay on the screen for a few seconds and then vanish. My son then had to type in the word he saw on screen. Each time he used the program with that list of words, the time he had to type in the word he saw on screen got shorter and shorter. When my sons teacher heard about this program, he requested a copy of the program so that it could help other students. Jim didn't hesitate. He gave permission to copy the program and permit all students to use it who needed it. The program then made it's way to other local grade school s. In my last conversations with Jim which was a matter of days ago, we traded names of medications we took such as high blood pressure meds. Jim was a good friend as well as a great guy.
