Agree with chip. Windowseyes 9.2 is one of he bes for browsing eh web with
all the three browsers that I have internet explorer the default one in
place of Microsoft ege, chrome and firefox. So I am looking forward to what
AI Squared comes up with their products as it relates to even more
enhancements to web navigation and all sort of thigns that we can do on the

Hi Dave,

I see no similarity between Windows 10, and the recent update to
Window-Eyes. Window-Eyes has never worked this well for me, especially when
browsing the web. Being able to run 9.2 on Windows 10 was just one of many
enhancements and fixes released with that version, and there are many other
reason to update your Window-Eyes.

Hi Peter,

You couldn't have said things better.
I have used windows 7 with WE 8.4 for a long time. I just recently upgraded
to windows 8 the week before windows 10 was released.

With everything I hav seen on this list about the problems with windows 10
and WE 9.2 I have no intention to upgrade either until a few months have
passed and the bugs are worked out.
I am not a super big user of the computer so I don't feel I have have to
have every upgrade the minute they aree released. If more people would take
in stride what you said below there sure wouldn't be all the problems and
complaints. So thank you for what you are saying.

Dave

I used to, when I wrote tutorials on Windows for the blind, recommend to my
readers that they should keep their current system for a while. Wait until
the next release fix; let others have the headaches with the new system.
The release of a new Windows is a massive undertaking, and it is impossible
to find and fix all problems before a major release. Users will try the
strangest things - which would never occur to developers.

So, if you depend on your computer for work or school, don't muck with it!

Personally, I have an old spare computer on which I put a new Windows
release and play for a while and get use to its new ways of doing things,
most often better ways, sometime not.

For instance, as mentioned on this list, Microsoft forgot to build
Accessibility into the new browser Edge; but, wait a while, and that will
get fixed.

The developers of Windows at Microsoft have regular meetings at which they
discuss which bugs and oversights to fix; that list can contain thousands of
problems. Fortunately, Microsoft has observed the Pareto Principle at work:
20 percent of the bugs cause 80 percent of the problems, so they are
addressed first.

BTW: Pareto's law applies in many situations: 20 percent of the workers at a
company do 80 percent of the work. 20 percent of mathematicians
discover/invent 80 percent of new mathematics.

Good luck, Peter Duran
