thats not what they want.
type in the search box desktop icons. there should be one show or hide desktop
icons.
do this to put the icons on the desktop that may not be there now.
computer,network,control panel etc.
with windows 10 the computer icon is now called this pc. this will open the
list of drives and other devices you have connected to the computer. like dvd
drives,printers, network drives etc.

Just got windows 10 and have a lot to learn.If I put a thumdrive in a
usb port how do I find it? My daughter an find it with the mouse, but
I can't do it with the keyboard.
