The scripts for SPL are supurb, and are quite definitely worth getting. They offer a lot of the same functionality as the jaws scripts, including the ability to set either announcement when a song is ending or a beep. you can also determine how soon before the song the beep occurs. you can also re-arange the way in which Window-eyes reads the information in the playlist area. If you don't want to hear a bit of data, you can silence it. if you change your mind and want that data read again, you can re-enable it. It might be worth checking out the script read me file to get a better idea of everything they can do, and there is a lot.
