Hi Dave, How are you starting up Word?
Try an alternate method: open the run dial (windows key-r will do this) and type in "winword" (no quotes needed). This runs the Word program directly. I use Word 2010 all the time and don't have this issue. When I start MS Word, I now need to press the F6 Key five times before it allows me to type any text. What is with this? I never had to do this on my old system. When Word starts, I hear CLIPBOARD, then if I press the F6 key, I hear Search. Press F6 again I hear, Page 1, Press F6 one more time, Home Tab, and Pressing F6 one last time I hear, Section, which is where I can begin typing my document. Just for kicks, I started up Excel and I needed to press F6, just as I did when using MS Word. Anyone know what I need to turn off, or On to have MS Word come up to a New Document, all ready and waiting for me to begin typing? Thanks for any reply, Dave -- Dave <[email protected]> _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
