Hi gentlemen, Yes, and I've been plagued by this little dialog box coming up daily ever since I bought my AMD back in 2011, since it used to freeze speech totally. Luckily, I learned how to write apps shortly thereafter and so wrote one which looks for the window, which has the title of "software update," and, if it finds it, my app closes it, and then everything is fine. If you can close the window which has the title "software update," you should be fine. If you like, I can send you my app. Smile
