It's in the Screen, Punctuation part of the settings tree. Like everything
else, it can be set globally or for the particular program whose SET file is
currently loaded.

Subject: How to turn off speaking punctuation
Hello list:
On one of my computers, I had turned on the feature to have WE speak
characters, like plus, minus, slash, etc. Looking through the WE control
panel, I cannot seem to find how to turn this off. I would think it is in
the verbosity settings, but I just can't seem to find it. Any help is
appreciated.
Thanks, rick
