Hi David,

When you say you waited an hour ... what was happening during that hour? Was
WE running, but you were just not using it, or do you mean you had logged in
but not started WE?

How about trying disabling all your apps, and then seeing if you can work
longer without losing speech? I know you may not be able to do much, but
perhaps you could then try just enabling a few apps at a time until something
seems to cause things to stop working?

If you aren't using the free MS Office version, I'd certainly contact AI
support to see what they had to say.

Good luck,

Chip

Hi Chip,

I have the standard services running including McAfee which came
preinstalled and I can't get rid of it for the Windows default
anti-virus. Items in the Startup menu and Run registry key seem to be
standard like the hot key manager and Adobe ARm. I haven't installed any
new software for over a month or two. The last program installed was
Google Chrome which added to the startup items. This problem just
started within the last few weeks and is becoming more and more
consistant. I did install ccleaner today and ran it with the hope that
it may solve the issue.

It doesn't seem to matter if I launch a program or just let the login
process run undisturbed for this to happen. I've also waited an hour to
see if was waiting for a process to finish with no luck.
