Facebook.com is the world's most popular social media site. People all over the world visit Facebook.com to stay in touch with family and friends, connect with people that share similar interests and to keep up to date with current events, politics, music, technology and more. Facebook has made a commitment to ensuring all visitors, including those with disabilities, can experience all that Facebook.com has to offer. In this webinar, Matt King, accessibility specialist in UI Engineering at Facebook, and Jesse Beach, accessibility specialist in Front End Engineering at Facebook, will give us an insider's perspective on what it is like to be a part of Facebook's accessibility program. Matt and Jesse will also provide a high level explanation of several accessibility enhancements recently added to Facebook.com plus a glimpse at the site's accessibility roadmap moving forward. You will also learn about a brand new Window-Eyes feature called web application mode that resulted from a collaborative effort between Ai Squared and Facebook. In addition, the webinar will also include an orientation to Facebook.com and demonstrations of the following popular Facebook tasks:
1. Navigating the news feed 2. Reading posts 3. Liking, commenting and sharing posts 4. Posting status updates 5. Searching for friends and responding to friend requests At the end of the webinar, attendees will be given an opportunity to ask the Facebook accessibility team and Ai Squared staff questions about using Facebook.com with Window-Eyes and other related topics. Whether you are a seasoned veteran, or a beginner to Window-Eyes, our hope is that the knowledge, tips, and strategies delivered through Ai Squared's online training webinars will enhance your Window-Eyes skill set and provide you with the helpful information you need to be more productive and successful on your computer.
