This is exactly what I do because you can control the rate yourself, and even go back if you didn't catch something.
You can also use shift and arrow keys to select the file name (go to the start of the editbox and press shift-end to move to the end and select the entire name), and then press control-c to copy the contents so that you have the file name in the clipboard for use else-where. It's a good tip Scott. This will put you in an edit box where you can edit the file name. You can simply use the left and right arrow keys to read the current name and then press escape to leave it unchanged. If you change anything in this box and then press enter, it WILL! Change the name of the file. Don't do that unless you mean to. That will cause Window-Eyes to spell it. Steve -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Donald L. Yes, I know I can get the spelling by doing such things as copying the file name to the clipboard with an appropriate program and than opening a text editor to paste in the copied text. What a pain just to determine the correct spelling including punctuation marks. I don't know with certainty when this became an issue. I think it was Windows 8, but it sure was not an issue in XP. Come on, someone, please step up to the plate and show your stuff.
