Nancy,
For future reference, it would be very helpful if you could provide a link to
the webpage you are having trouble with as well as the browser you are trying
to use. I will do my best to help out with the information I have. It sounds
like you are dealing with a complex nested menu system that doesn't have fully
keyboard accessibility. Here is one approach to activate the mouse over event
for a link:
1. Navigate to and focus the link in Browse Mode using your preferred technique
(e.g. Tab, L for link, Arrow Keys, Page Navigation dialog, etc.)
2. Route the mouse to the element (Insert-Numpad Plus)
Once you have completed the two steps listed above, the Mouse pointer should be
positioned over the element. At this point, the pull down menu will hopefully
be displayed and available to you in Browse Mode. If not, it might be because
the mouse pointer isn't directly over the element but instead just above or
below it. This has happened to me in Internet Explorer before. I then tried the
same steps in Firefox and boom, the mouse over event was triggered and the pull
down menu appeared on the screen. You may have to repeat the process of routing
the mouse to the links in the pull down if you can't activate them with Enter.
Regards,
Marc

Nancy,
I was hoping someone would have this really straight forward answer for you. I
was trying to find a website with a mouse over link to practice on, but didn't
see one. So, with my best recommendation to add to what others suggested, I
add that if you tab to the mouse over link then route your mouse pointer there
with insert numpad plus, you may be able to read the menu. I think WE 9.2
allows for reading the screen again with the mouse on web pages, so maybe
slowly dragging your mouse down once you've routed the pointer to the menu will
allow you to see the menu if you cannot use the alt down arrow option to engage
the submenu.

Subject: Hovering the Mouse
Hi List,
Using WE 9.2 on Windows 7, what would be the keyboard way to access a pull down
menu from a mouse over link? I'm trying to access a document and need to get
to one of the options I was told is in the pull down menu that shows up when
you hover the mouse. Since I can't use the mouse itself, how can I get the
pull down to show up?
Thanks,
Nancy
