Hi, this is Bud here. I was able to find the extrastuff and that
specific file you said, but it doesn't seem to change things. I have 31
items in the options. I copied it in the main Eudora folder with
settings, is that correct? Here again I'm not sure it is copying to the
clipboard as there's no signs of it pasting when I to control v. Thanks.

so, copy that file into your main Eudora folder which is just up the
tree one level, so copy to clipboard and press backspace one time to go
up the tree and paste it in.
re-start Eudora, and there will be more than 33 lines of options under
tools. There will be 38, and the last one gives you the ability to
change the smtp and pop ports.
all of this talks well with Window-Eyes.
someone else gave concise and correct instructions for the negociation
types of messages, SSL, etc.
