You'd probably have to ocr it with K1000 or a program like that. Maybe
prizmo on the IPhone could do it as well.

Subject: making gif or jpg files containing tex usable by a screenreader

Hi there!
Was wondering if there is a program available to make a gif or jpg file
usable by a screen reader? I was speaking with the disabilities coordinator
at our local community college this morning and she told me that text book
publishers send text books to the visually impaired students as file
attachments. When they go to open the attachments it appears to be a blank
file..? She says there is printed text on the screen but W.E. doesn't seem
to recognize it? Can anyone recommend a program to convert this unusable
format to a usable format? Much Thanks de< KF8LT><Jim>.
