Hi, Control-C is not a step in the process of copying text found in HTML documents like web pages and emails, although it was a stop-gap step before the process was refined by the developers of Window-Eyes. Rather, navigate to the start of the block of text, press F8, navigate to the end of the block, press F8 again, and then you're in a dialog giving you options for copying the text, and, yes, Enter is the default option for copying unformatted text To the clipboard. Finally, navigate to the place where you wish to paste and use Control-V to do so.
I hope this helps, Rod -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Charles Short via Talk Sent: October 20, 2015 9:35 PM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List <[email protected]> Subject: copying and pasting text Hello, how do I copy and past text like from an article in the Washington Post, e.g. I just want to send just the text of an article. Does the insert key layout have to be enabled, or do I have to press f 8 to do this? Thanks Best Regards Charlie Short _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
