And folks, that's just what I did. I really would like to know what the
issue with WordPad might be, but since for the use that I was putting it
toward - simple note taking and the like - It just seems more
appropriate to simply use the most accessible, not to mention faster
loading of the two, or three if you wanted to count MSWord as a possible
option.
So thanks to all who gave their advice and suggestions, it is really
appreciated.
