Reeva Winamp is still available and it has a lot of built in keyboard support. I use it with Jeff Bishop's scripts/app,, and possibly Rod's do the same, but certainly Jeff's give you much, and possibly all the playlist support you're looking for - track time remaining, number of tracks, total playing time of a list ETC.
